Inventory Rule Reporting Properties - Properties Tab

 

View properties tab shows the property elements of the rule.

 

Shown are:

        Name - the name of the property

        Type -   the property type

        Key - defines the key propery ( note: you must always set the KEY to report as true( check the Report check box) or your rule will fail).

        Units -   Units are optional, SMS can automatically convert values to measurement/size values such as megabits, decimal, hex

        Report - Check this box to have the rule inventory this property, all selected properties will be considered for inventory.

 

 

 

Description details of selected property.

This info is only shown when available if a description qualifier has been added the property in WMI.

 

For the most part most Win32 Classes have been thouroughly documented and description info included into WMI with them.

 

When the property is based on a registry key you will see the key path details in this window
